FAQs

It is my first time. I am nervous.

Feeling nervous about teeth whitening is completely understandable. Our goal is to ensure that the process is comfortable, effortless, and enjoyable for you. If this is your first time getting your teeth professionally whitened, it is recommended to schedule multiple sessions in order to achieve the maximum level of whitening.

How does professional teeth whitening differ from over-the-counter products?

Professional teeth whitening involves stronger and more concentrated solutions administered by trained professionals, leading to more effective and instant results compared to over-the-counter options.

does teeth whitening cause pain or sensitivity?

Most clients experience little to no sensitivity. In comparison, over-the-counter teeth whitening strips are known to cause long-term sensitivity due to prolonged use.

Our gels contain a demineralizing plant-based formula to reduce sensitivity. If you have sensitive teeth, you may want to use sensitive toothpaste prior to and after your treatment to help minimize sensitivity. Hydrating prior to your treatment may also help reduce the sensitivity teeth whitening can cause.

It’s important to note that while teeth whitening treatments are generally safe and effective, individual experiences may vary.

is teeth whitening safe?

Cosmetic teeth whitening is a safe and effective way to brighten your smile. The gels used in the process are made from natural, botanical, and mineral ingredients that have enamel-forming properties. These active ingredients have been scientifically proven to be safe and effective. Unlike other teeth whitening methods, our process does not damage or alter the structure of your teeth. Instead, it lifts and removes years of unwanted stains to give you a brighter, whiter smile.

how long does the treatment take?

Our immediate whitening procedures take only one hour in most cases. The total appointment time is approximately 75-90 minutes. We encourage you to bring your headphones to listen to your favorite music or podcast, watch a show, or unwind while the transformation unfolds.

how long do results last?

Results vary from person to person and depend on your lifestyle. Teeth whitening results are not as long-lasting if you smoke, or if you drink red wine, tea, or coffee, which can cause stains to your teeth.

Doing a touch-up treatment 1 month after your initial 60-minute treatment is recommended to remove stains left behind, then 3-6 months afterward to maintain your smile. For severe cases, you may need additional treatments to meet your goals.

how many shades whiter will my teeth get?

Teeth whitening results vary. On average, teeth can become 6-8 shades whiter. Continuing for 24-48 hours post-treatment, your teeth will further whiten if you avoid foods and drinks that can stain them. The whitening process will reach its natural conclusion, influenced by lifestyle and genetic factors. To achieve maximum results, it is recommended to schedule a 1-month touch-up.

what products are used?

Our teeth whitening gel is vegan. No parabens, no gluten, no animal testing. The unique mineral-based formula is made with botanical ingredients that help prevent sensitivity, build tooth enamel, and may help prevent periodontitis and gingivitis.

can I whiten my teeth if I have braces?

Traditional Braces: Although teeth can be effectively whitened even with traditional braces in place, it's important to note that the areas beneath the brackets may not receive the whitening treatment. For optimal results, we recommend considering teeth whitening either before or after the removal of traditional braces.

Invisalign Braces: If you currently have Invisalign brackets, we can effectively brighten your teeth. The treatment is secure and won't jeopardize the integrity of any existing dental or orthodontic work.

Always get advice from your orthopedic surgeon if you have any concerns.

Who is not a good candidate for teeth whitening?

  • Pregnant or Nursing Mothers: It's best to wait until after pregnancy or nursing to undergo teeth whitening.

  • Individuals with Untreated Dental Issues: Decay, gum disease, bleeding gums, or exposed roots should be addressed before whitening.

  • Children Under 13: Their developing teeth may be more sensitive to the whitening agents.

  • Severe Tooth Sensitivity: If you have a history of severe sensitivity, consult with us to determine the best approach for your needs.

what should I avoid after treatment?

If it can stain a white shirt, it will stain your teeth and should be avoided. Here are some items you should avoid 24-48 hours after treatment.

  • coffee

  • tea

  • soda

  • kool-aid

  • red wine
